Special-Purpose-Medics is a tool box for the thinking medic — a suite of eleven interactive, browser-based training dashboards aimed at the Special Purpose Medic and anyone studying tactical and prolonged casualty care. Each dashboard is a self-contained training tool: trauma simulations, scenario libraries, drug references, an ECG rhythm trainer, and an AI prompt library.
Everything runs in your browser — there is nothing to install. The landing hub (the page you came from) is the front door; every dashboard lives one click away in its own section, and every dashboard also ships as a single offline file — provided by request — that runs with a double-click and no internet connection.
These dashboards are a training and educational aid only — not medical advice, and never the sole basis for a clinical decision. Some modelled values are estimates and are labelled as such. Always verify against current, authoritative sources and your unit's protocols. See the Terms of Use.

What it is. The trauma-lane grade packet, live on screen — twelve moulaged scenarios (DCR, needle decompression, chest and extremity trauma, burns, dislocations), each carrying its injuries-and-moulage table, patient position, difficulty tier and estimated lane time, with critical-criteria checklists and automatic critical-fail logic.
How to use it. Pick the scenario, read the Brief and set the moulage, then run the lane: start the mission clock and grade in 2 · Grade as the trainee works — every critical action checked as the cadre observes. Track students in 3 · Roster & Runs and print or export from 4 · Export. The ⌘ Instructor Manual tab on the right edge opens the full cadre manual in an overlay — how to run the lanes, scoring guidance, and the printable grade packet. The ☾ night button (bottom right) flips the packet to a dark field-tablet scheme, and the Music pill (bottom left) carries the suite's ambient soundbed.
What it is. 23 Prolonged Field/Casualty Care scenarios (2002–2025) presented as a live patient monitor, each with a physiologically-shaped ECG/PQRST waveform, assessment, decision points, teaching questions, and a full documentation sheet.
How to use it. Pick a scenario from the left index (filter with
/, step through with ←/→). Read the hero — mechanism,
context, and cast — then watch the monitor. Work the OPQRST assessment, take the
Actions at each decision point, answer the Socratic questions, and review the
Resolution. Switch to the Docs view for a complete PFC casualty-card
documentation sheet. Sound, ECG behaviour, theme and density live in the Tweaks panel.
What it is. A live DD-1380 tactical casualty card — injury map, mechanism and acute findings, a vitals timeline, MIST auto-fill, and treatment/med/blood logs — paired with a floating Drip & Dosage calculator.
How to use it. Mark wounds on the front/back injury map and watch the
card and vitals timeline build, with the MIST report filling in as you go. Open the glass
calculator box and choose a mode — weight-based infusion, weight bolus, or
simple fluid drip — and turn on teaching mode to see every formula
worked out step by step (e.g. mL/hr = dose ÷ concentration,
gtt/min = mL/hr × drop-set ÷ 60). The background tracks the casualty's acuity from
the latest vitals.
What it is. A rebuilt tactical casualty dashboard — a full DD-1380 card with a photographic front/back injury map, a live signs & symptoms panel with an animated ECG, a MARCH PAWS treatment board, a drip & dosage calculator, and a running vitals log.
How to use it. Mark injuries on the body diagram, record vitals as they trend, and work the MARCH PAWS board (massive hemorrhage → airway → respiration → circulation …), logging treatments, meds and blood. Use the drip & dosage calculator for field-correct rates; the Tweaks panel holds theme, sound and the WebGL background.
What it is. A real-time, 6-patient Tactical Combat Casualty Care simulation with body-diagram injury maps, progressing vitals and animated ECG, a scored treatment engine, and a live survival-probability readout.
How to use it. Choose a patient, read the injuries and vitals, then treat using the engine tabs — TX / MEDS / DRIP / BLOOD / REF. Each action is scored and changes the patient's trajectory; the survival probability and the background colour move with it (green = likely survives → red = arrest), and the trace tempo follows heart rate. Review the decision log and debrief when the case resolves.
What it is. An expanded second-generation trauma sim — a 50-casualty roster with a 360° casualty view (front and back injury maps), progressing vitals with an animated ECG, a scored treatment engine, a live survival-probability readout, narrative briefs, and a printable after-action report.
How to use it. Pick a casualty from the roster, read the brief, injuries and vitals, then work the treatment engine as the clock runs — the survival probability and the ambient field shift with each decision. EVAC when stable and export a PDF report; the Tweaks panel holds theme, density, sound and the WebGL background.
What it is. A holographic combat-medic HUD across 50 scripted casualty lanes, each paced as a 20–25 minute trauma run. It shows live vitals and shock index, a rotating 3-D injury hologram, a hemodynamics panel, and the full MARCH PAWS treatment tree scored live against JTS benchmarks — with corrective actions, complications and teaching points for classroom walk-through.
How to use it. Pick a scenario and sim speed from the top-right controls, then watch the lane play out — vitals respond to every event and performance is scored against the benchmark timeline. Use FOCUS for the teaching teleprompter, switch the hologram tint, and toggle perf/audio. The ☾ NIGHT / ☀ DAY switch in the same bar moves between the dark suite look and the original paper brief. The ambient WebGL field runs behind the dark HUD to match the suite.
What it is. A cinematic field brief built around a live 3D humanoid casualty beside a glass narrative panel on robotic medical-reach teammates, plus an Innovation Front drawn from real autonomous-systems programs.
How to use it. Read the brief top to bottom; drag to view the 3D casualty, and edit the vitals/triage to watch the glass field behind the text respond — green (stable) → amber (guarded) → red (critical), with the field tempo following heart rate. The Innovation Front section contextualises the brief with next-gen UAS, subsea autonomy, swarm UAVs, EW-resilient ISR, autonomous mobile robots and more.
What it is. A hands-on, weight-based dosing reference across three tiers — student / operational / provider — with PK modifiers, drip rates, and pharmacokinetic + pharmacodynamic curves for each medication.
How to use it. Set the patient weight, pick a tier to match your scope of practice, and select a medication. Read the computed dose and drip rate, adjust the PK modifiers, and study the PK/PD curves to see how the drug rises, peaks and clears over time. What it is. A searchable catalogue of engineered AI prompts for the Special Purpose Medic: 100 training scenarios — each tagged to a MARCH PAWS phase and built on a modern model-extraction technique (chain-of-thought, decision-matrix, red-team-the-plan, and more) — each paired with aligned image, text-to-video and image-to-video sets, plus additional aligned imagery sets. Tuned for today's frontier generators — Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0 and Runway Gen-4.5 — with native-audio direction on every video prompt.
How to use it. Filter by category or search the full text, then copy any prompt in one click to paste into your model of choice. Toggle the MARCH PAWS sort to regroup the scenarios into the trauma algorithm — Massive hemorrhage → Airway → Respiration → Circulation → Hypothermia/Head → Pain → Antibiotics → Wounds → Splinting.
What it is. The encyclopedic drug reference and trainer — 165 medications across 28 categories — with a built-in 3-level quiz. The reference companion to the hands-on tiered Pharmacology tool.
How to use it. Browse, search, or filter by category, then open a drug for its mechanism, dosing, indications, contraindications, side effects, and international/alternate names (paracetamol, salbutamol, adrenaline, pethidine, and so on). Each drug includes a case-based field scenario — OPQRST/SAMPLE, interactive vitals with a lub-dub heartbeat and MAP, a reveal-on-hover diagnosis, and a GO/NO-GO duty call. Test yourself with the tiered quiz (Recall / Application / Clinical Reasoning), filterable by category and level; optional UI click sounds can be toggled on.
What it is. Regional SOF medical training scenarios organised by Geographic Combatant Command — AFRICOM, CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, SOUTHCOM and NORTHCOM — plus a Ranger Medic set: 50 character-driven cases each, 350 in all.
How to use it. Tap a theater to switch the whole set. For each case, read the work-up — character and environment, OPQRST, vitals, exam — then reveal the differential on demand, answer the answer-keyed Socratic questions, and review the critical actions, clinical pearls, resolution, and current evidence with live references. Search, tag-filter, expand cases, and show all answers — all scoped to the active theater — and export to PDF. WebGL field, glass mode, theme and click sounds work as elsewhere.
What it is. An original rhythm trainer that synthesises the waveform procedurally (P/Q/R/S/T as Gaussian components, with fibrillatory/flutter/chaotic baselines) for 20 cardiac rhythms across sinus, atrial, junctional, AV-block, ventricular, paced and arrest categories, on a scrolling lead-II monitor.
How to use it. Work the four tabs — Learn (recognition criteria, clinical significance, management), 12-Lead (a derived per-lead montage projected from lead II), Builder (sliders for rate, PR, QRS width, P/ST/T and regularity reshape the live waveform), and Game (the label is hidden — identify the rhythm against the clock for a scoring streak). A QRS beep and correct/incorrect tones, a category-tinted field and the sound toggle round it out.
What it is. A simulated ATP-12 tactical monitor / defibrillator with a live rhythm strip, SpO₂ plethysmograph, and HR / SpO₂ / NIBP / RESP vitals — built to teach rhythm recognition the way you'll meet it in the field: on a device screen, through noise, with alarms sounding.
How to use it. Pick a rhythm from the library and read its teaching panel in Study; drop calipers on the strip to measure intervals; dial in field artifacts (motion/tremor, 60 Hz mains hum, wandering baseline) from the Tweaks pop to train through real noise, and choose your beat sound (lub-dub or beep), trace color, sweep speed and paper. Then prove it: Quiz hides the label and scores your streak, and Sim runs the monitor like a live patient with alarm behavior. Glass panels and the ambient field are in Tweaks too.
What it is. An ECG / defibrillator familiarization trainer built around a live monitor — a scrolling ECG with SpO₂ plethysmograph and HR / SpO₂ / NIBP / RR vitals, full defibrillator and transcutaneous pacing controls (energy, charge, sync, shock; rate/output), 12-lead acquire and transmit, and an event / drug log.
How to use it. Start in Familiarize to learn every control — hover to preview, click to mark it explored (27 controls). Then work Guided walkthroughs, run Scenarios, experiment in Free-Play, and test yourself in Quiz. Charge and deliver a shock, pace a rhythm, and read the alarms as they sound. The sun/moon button in the topbar switches the day / night interface, and the gear opens Tweaks — trace colors, screen grid and brightness, scanlines, chassis finish, panel side and sound volume. The ambient WebGL field runs behind the device to match the suite.
What it is. A field-ready trainer for the Military Acute Concussion Evaluation (MACE 2) — the head-injury screen you run after a blast, fall, rollover or blow to the head. Nineteen guided lessons drawn from real casualty stories teach the why behind every section: the two screening gates (injury event + altered consciousness), red flags that override everything, cognitive scoring, the neurological exam and VOMS, and return-to-duty decisions.
How to use it. Start in Overview, work the Learn lessons in order — each poses a real decision and scores your call — then open Evaluate and complete the interactive MACE 2 card: scores total automatically, red flags surface the moment you mark them, and you finish with results, actions, care indications and EHR-ready coding. The sun/moon switch and the gear hold the trainer's own display and accent settings — including a backdrop-opacity slider that fades the video ground from full glass to solid, in day and night modes alike.
What it is. An interactive 3-D brain atlas — 28 structures rendered as rotatable photographic reconstructions, each with its functions, a case study, linked disorders, substructures and connected regions, and curated PubMed references.
How to use it. Search or browse the structure list, then drag the central brain (or use the rotation slider) to spin the reconstruction while the right panel shows the full entry. Switch to Compare to study two regions side-by-side, or Quiz to self-test recognition with scored comprehension questions.
What it is. A radiology reading trainer — a structured case library of chest, pelvis and trauma studies with findings, differentials and teaching points, plus an interactive viewer, an anatomy explorer, and progress tracking.
How to use it. Start from the Dashboard overview, open the Case Library and pick a study, then read it in the Viewer. Run the identify-the-finding practice drills to build pattern recognition, and track your streak and accuracy under Progress.
Every dashboard ships as a single self-contained file — a Standalone build with all of its styles, fonts, scripts and the WebGL layer inlined into one document. They're handy for the field, an austere network, or just keeping a copy.
